Wins for Gloucester-Hartpury, Saracens, Exeter Chiefs and Loughborough brought the league action to a close although we had to wait until the dying minutes at Lightning against Trailfinders, and a Helena Rowland drop goal, to discover the final day victors.

There were some impressive performances across the four games, with the stand-outs including:

  • Gabrielle Senft (Saracens) scored two tries, made 97 metres, and won two turnovers at the weekend. Her match rating was a round-high 9.1.
  • Meg Jones (Leicester Tigers) made as many carries as any other player (22), scored a try, and won two turnovers in Round 18. She also made two dominant tackles.
  • Emma Sing (Gloucester-Hartpury) made nine dominant carries, 191 metres, 61 post-contact metres, beat 14 defenders, and made five clean breaks in Round 18. No player has beaten as many defenders in a match this season as she did at the weekend.
  • Mia Venner (Gloucester-Hartpury) made four clean breaks, 111 metres, beat 11 defenders, and scored a try at the weekend.
  • Neve Jones (Gloucester-Hartpury) made a round-high 27 tackles - three of which were dominant - and scored two tries at the weekend.
