ALLIANZ CUP: TRAILFINDERS WOMEN V LEICESTER TIGERS PREVIEW

This weekend hosts just one fixture as the Premiership Women’s Rugby Allianz Cup nears its conclusion.

The finalists have already been confirmed as Bristol Bears and Saracens triumphed to set up a blockbuster finale at Shaftesbury Park on April 28.

But first Leicester Tigers travel to Trailfinders Women in the second game of the seventh place play-off pool.

Tigers come into this showdown off the back of a difficult 33-19 defeat at the hands of Harlequins last weekend while Trailfinders have enjoyed an extra week’s preparation before their Allianz Cup return.

Vicky Macqueen has made only three changes for Leicester’s trip to Trailfinders Sports Club.

Charlotte Daley makes her return on the wing while Churchy Knight joins the front-row and Zoe Warrington, who is set for her 20th club appearance, slots in at lock.

Trailfinders have overhauled their starting line-up as Giselle Mather makes 12 changes to the team that beat Sale in their last game before the Six Nations break.

Olympian Abi Burton returns from GB7s duty to start at inside centre while Imogen Wilcox comes in on her outside for her Trailfinders debut.

Wilcox's fellow academy graduates Thea Sylvester and Annabelle Luntz are also in line for their debuts in green and white.

The second row is refreshed as Shya Pinnock and Charlie Willett pack down behind Lindelwa Gwala, Kira Leat and Liz Crake.

Amanda McQuade and Megan Barwick join Rowena Burnfield in a new-look back row as she shifts from openside to number eight.

Next Sunday’s clash between Harlequins and Trailfinders will determine who takes seventh place in the Allianz Cup.
