Harlequins

Harlequins is one of the oldest and most famous rugby clubs in the world. Founded in 1866, the Club is a founder member of the RFU and is famous for its quartered shirt.

Harlequins has over 230 community clubs and schools affiliated locally to The Stoop, its home of over 50 years in South West London, as well as a further eight across the world. On a playing front, Harlequins has developed successful academies and regularly provides players for international representational honours. In 2016, during Harlequins’ 150th anniversary year, the Club announced that it would significantly grow its involvement in the women’s game, confirming a new partnership with Aylesford Bulls Ladies, who would later change their name to Harlequins.

The club has been one of the dominant forces in the Premier 15s era, reaching all but two finals, and clinching the title at the third attempt in 2021. The squad boasts several Red Roses, such as Ellie Kildunne, Lucy Packer, Lagi Tuima, Emily Scott, Emily Robinson, and 2014 Rugby World Cup winner Rachael Burford, as well as a host of other internationals and up and coming local talent. Under the leadership of Head Coach Amy Turner, Harlequins will look to make amends for last year’s fifth-placed finish with a tilt at the 2023/24 title and a return to the pinnacle of the domestic game.
