Harlequins: The Game Changer is back

Harlequins will host Loughborough Lightning on Saturday 26 October in the sixth instalment of the Club’s landmark The Game Changer fixture at The Stoop.

In what’s expected to be the biggest year in history for women’s rugby, The Game Changer marks the start of an exciting period for the domestic game, as internationals make their return to club colours following WXV. The Game Changer promises excitement both on and off the field, with some of the biggest names in the sport lining up for their clubs at The Stoop.

Since the Premiership’s inception in 2016, the women’s game has gone from strength to strength, regularly smashing attendance records and building an ever-increasing audience. Harlequins Women have been trailblazers in the women’s rugby space, setting the first club match attendance world record at the first edition of The Game Changer with 4,837 supporters attending the inaugural event.

Continuing to lead the way for the women’s game, Harlequins have since set record crowds at consecutive Big Games, with 15,420 for Big Game 14 against and 16,237 filling the stands at Big Game 15.

What is The Game Changer?

The Game Changer aims to aims to inspire the next generation of rugby players to take the first steps on their rugby journey. With all eyes on the World Cup in less than a year’s time, this year The Game Changer focuses on those players who will hope to represent their nations at the tournament. Unique to Harlequins is the diverse playing group, featuring over 20 internationals across 10 nations, who all come together in the Quarters to represent their Club.

The Premiership Women's Rugby (PWR) match will see Harlequins Women going head-to-head with Loughborough Lightning at The Stoop. Both sides are packed with world-class players promising an entertaining, action-packed encounter.

Supporters can also expect a variety of matchday activities including mascots, food and beverage concessions, the North Fan Village open with games and face painting, and much more.
