Stat Attack: Westcombe-Evans and Packer star in Round 16

Bo Westcombe-Evans produced a rare performance at the weekend, not only scoring four tries against Harlequins but setting a new mark for metres gained in the new Opta Ratings for Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby.

Westcombe-Evans' Loughborough Lightning triumphed 38-19 against Harlequins as she ran amok at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens while leaders Gloucester-Hartpury, second-placed Saracens and Bristol Bears all went through the 50-point mark.

The victory over Trailfinders Women guaranteed Gloucester-Hartpury top spot in the league and a home semi-final at 4.30pm on Sunday 9 June at Kingsholm Stadium.

Saracens' Packer has returned from her Guinness Six Nations triumph in exceptional form, equalling the season record for offloads in a game.

Below are some of the standout performances here are the full Opta Ratings.
  • Saracens’ Marlie Packer completed six offloads against Exeter Chiefs, the joint-most by any player in a single Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby game this season, alongside Harlequins’ Shaunagh Brown v Sale Sharks in November (also 6).
  • Loughborough Lightning’s Bo Westcombe-Evans scored four tries against Harlequins, just the second time a player has crossed the line 4+ times in an Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby match this season, alongside Harlequins’ Ellie Kildunne against Sale Sharks in February. Westcombe-Evans also made 253 carry metres in that game, overtaking the previous seasonal high of 229 metres, also previously set by Ellie Kildunne (229 v Sale Sharks in November).
  • Bristol Bears’ Rownita Marston-Mulhearn made 55 metres in contact against Leicester Tigers, the most by any player in a single Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby match this season, overtaking the previous high of 54 metres, set by Exeter Chiefs’ Hope Rogers v Saracens in January.
  • Saracens defeated Exeter Chiefs by a margin of 50 points (57-7), just the third time that a team has won away from home by 50+ points in Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby this season, alongside Exeter Chiefs v Sale Sharks in January (54-3) and Saracens themselves v Sale Sharks earlier the same month (69-3).
  • After their 47-point win over the Trailfinders (59-12), Gloucester-Hartpury have now won all 15 of their Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby matches this season, extending what is the longest-ever winning run by a team at the start of a new season – each of the Circus’ last three wins have come by margins of over 30 points.
  • Bristol Bears defeated Leicester Tigers by a margin of 40 points (64-24), their largest Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby win since the opening round of the season (48-5 v Sale Sharks) and their highest points total in the league since December 2022 (84-12 v DMP Sharks).
  • Bristol Bears made 1408 carry metres against Leicester Tigers, just the second time that a team has made 1400+ metres in an Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby game this season, with the only previous instance also recorded by the Bears (1433m v Sale Sharks in R1).
  • Gloucester-Hartpury stole six opposition lineouts during their win against the Trailfinders, the most by any team in a match this season, with Zoe Aldcroft making four of those steals – a game-high for any player this campaign.
