Danelle Lochner re-signs with Harlequins Women

Harlequins Women are delighted to announce that South African international Danelle Lochner has extended her stay in West London.

A dual-sport international in both netball and rugby, Lochner joined Harlequins in 2023 and has gone on to establish herself as a key member of the Quins forward pack, making 25 appearances in her first two seasons at the Club.

Having impressed during her time in TW2, Lochner is thrilled to be extending her stay.

“The past two seasons have been an absolute blessing with the Quins family. I am so blessed to go back for another season and do what I love. The way Quins have helped me grow as a person and player is something that I will forever be grateful for. I am really excited to see what lies ahead for myself and the team.”

Head Coach Ross Chisholm is similarly pleased to be retaining the services of a key player in his squad.

“Danelle is a fantastic player who has really grown during her time in a Quins shirt. She is powerful, strong in contact and has superb handling in open play. Her work rate around the pitch is brilliant and she brings a real focus on doing the basics well to the group. I’m confident that she still has even more to give as a player, and we are looking forward to seeing that in the Quarters again.”
