There is still everything to play for in Premiership Women's Rugby as we head for this season's semi-finals.

Gloucester-Hartpury's victory at Leicester Tigers and Harlequins win at Sandy Park put both those sides in the last four but the huge prize of a home tie is far from settled.

The away teams had a remarkable 100% record in Round 16 and there were a number of stand out performances from our players, with Claudia MacDonald just pipping Ellie Kildunne and Poppy Cleall to the Player of the Week title.

This weekend we have just two matches with the pivotal clash at Ashton Gate between Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs.

Impressive performances from Round 16 included:

  • Ellie Kildunne (Harlequins) scored another two tries at the weekend; she has scored nine in her last five appearances. She also made a round-high 151 metres and beat eight defenders.
  • May Campbell (Saracens) scored the only hattrick of Round 16, taking her total to 15 tries in 14 appearances this season.
  • Rachel Johnson (Exeter Chiefs) made more dominant carries than any other player last weekend (eight), 40 post-contact metres, and 17 tackles.
  • Alex Tessier (Exeter Chiefs) assisted three tries at the weekend - more than any other player. She has assisted the most tries in the Chiefs’ squad this season (six) and scored the joint-most (three).
  • Sarah Bern (Bristol Bears) made as many carries as any other player (16), a round-high 43 post-contact metres, and beat 11 defenders at the weekend.
  • Claudia Macdonald (Exeter Chiefs), our Player of the Week, beat more defenders than any other player in Round 15, a total of 12. She was also the only player who made five clean breaks.
  • Neve Jones (Gloucester-Hartpury) made three dominant tackles and won two turnovers at the weekend.
  • Krissy Scurfield (Loughborough Lightning) won a round-high four turnovers at the weekend. Among players who’ve made more than six league appearances, nobody accounts for a higher percentage of their team’s turnovers won (19.6%).
